After all my stressing, I happily found out that my employer "approves me to take time off" to attend a few days away in Toronto this April for a CPA (Canadian Payroll Association) thing. It's being paid for by the CPA, so I just have to work out the time away from my normal job for a few days ahead of time. As long as everything gets done or is accounted for, everyone will be happy. They should be glad I have this opportunity: I'm going to be a very valuable asset to the team with all this knowledge and experience I'm gaining!
I also had a lovely massage today. It was a nice break from the cold, harsh day.
And then I lost 1.75 lbs when I weighed in after work. A good end to Hump Day, that's for sure.
Now only a few days to go, complete with some cleaning, grocery shopping, and puppy class to attend. Then the parental units will be here for a little visit and some fun. May the rest of the week turn out just as positively as today!
